I am an enthusiastic sport management professional and event manager with over 10 years experience.

Yvonne Petri YPSM About Me

Born in Germany, I travelled the world continuously from when I was just a small child until age 27. I Explored various countries such as America, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Fiji and more. As I was often left to my own devices, I learnt problem solving, resilience, independence and a high level of organisational skills. Aotearoa has been my home since 2013 and I am now based in beautiful Cambridge with my daughter.

My career in sport and event management is a decade-long journey rooted in a passion for community and efficient planning, evolving from grassroots volunteer work to leading national-level events.
It all started with managing social touch teams in Wellington, which quickly led to formal roles coordinating operations for two Kids Football Franchise locations and serving as a Module Coordinator for Total Touch and a Club Administrator for Floorball Wellington. These roles solidified my enjoyment of sport management and event logistics and demonstrated a clear progression in responsibility.
After balancing various event jobs while studying the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation, I gained valuable insight into the sport industry during my role in support and onboarding for the Club Management Software company, Friendly Manager. I have been operating as a self-employed specialist since 2022, with my career highlight being the Event Manager for the 2025 Artistic Swimming Nationals and Oceania Open.
